February 2024 : Fantastic Skiing experience
Pour les vacances scolaires, Marc a eu la chance de skier pendant une semaine au rythme de 2 séances de 1h30 par jour. Comment notre enfant qui a des difficultés à marcher et à garder son équilibre a t’il pu skier debout ? C’est grâce à l’invention de Marco Gostoli qui a créé la machine Gotoski. Marc a pu l’utiliser à la station de ski de Risoul 1850 avec l’association Antenne Handicap et son président et moniteur Thomas Zitolli.
Il faut dire que Marc avait déjà essayé la Gotoski l’année dernière à l’Alpe d’huez et comme il avait été enchanté, nous avons décidé de lui offrir une semaine complète cette année.
La Gotoski n’est pas seulement une machine pour faire skier tout le monde mais c’est aussi pour les enfants CP une vraie solution thérapeutique.

When we talk about disability, it is difficult to imagine how a person could ski in a standing -up position on the highest Alps mountains slopes but it’s now possible !
The Gotoski allows you to ski standing up with your handicap. !
A wide range of people can practice sit-skiing, from skiers with lower limb disabilities who can access autonomy on the slopes, to people whose disability does not allow them to be autonomous. Ski chairs, although very efficient, are not essential for a majority of the lighter disabilities (80% of cases) to start handiskiing.
Although wheelchair disability is the most visible disability, it represents only 3% of all disabilities. We can only note the lack of adapted ski solutions for people with disabilities milder than paraplegia and tetraplegia.

Positive influences of regular exercise are important for a child’s physical, psychological as well as sociological development. But the real importance is not the progress itself; it is socializing, fun and relaxation in the snow, spending free time in nature, fresh air and away from the monotonous everyday life. The final goal of ski learning is to teach a child with cerebral palsy to be able to ski safely and independently in the company of his/her peers, friends or family members.
Supporting the adaptive snowsports programs while reducing the barriers faced by people with disabilities should be a continued effort to promote quality of participation.

Marco Gostoli is an experienced competitor, he trained and prepared several professional Handiski skiers and winners of some medals in the Paralympic Games, but he is also an inventor at heart of equipment ! Le Centre de Santé Rossetti à Nice PACA 06 est le centre investigateur principal de l’étude EXOCEP France “The effects of EXOPULSE Mollii Suit on motor functions in children with cerebral palsy (EXOCEP): A pilot study”
Ce protocole de recherche vise à évaluer l’efficacité de la combinaison Exopulse Mollii chez l’enfant atteint de paralysie cérébrale.
Il s’agit d’une étude prospective multicentrique en cross-over où le patient est son propre évaluateur.
Le design a été réalisé par le Pr Ayache neurologue au sein de l’ICVNS (institut de la colonne vertébrale et des neurosciences) à Paris. 7 à 8 visites sur site sont à prévoir, sur une durée de 8 mois. Les critères d’inclusion sont les suivants :
- diagnostic de paralysie cérébrale spastique, troubles de l’équilibre unipodal
- âge de 5 à 11 ans
- capacité à comprendre les consignes
- bénéficier de l’assurance maladie française.
Voici les 4 centres d’inclusion en France :

Une Association pour les enfants cérébrolésés.
Celle-ci est essentielle à ces enfants afin qu’ils puissent gagner suffisamment d’autonomie pour être indépendant à l’âge adulte. Elle a constaté qu’il y a une demande importante pour des stages de rééducation intensifs en voyant tous les parents partirent à l’étranger là où des offres existent.
Au fil des années et du parcours de soin que Marc a suivi, elle a découvert de nombreux protocoles innovants dans différents pays, qui ont été des succès ou non. Elle a acquis beaucoup de matériels spécialisés qui sont utilisés ailleurs et pourtant inconnus en France. Mais surtout elle a tissé des liens avec des chercheurs et docteurs qui lancent de nouvelles études cliniques dont l’une a été à son initiative.
En plus de son expérience et des connaissances scientifiques qu’elle partage avec ses membres , l’Association a l’ambition d’organiser des stages de rééducation dans ses locaux ou bien en partenariat avec des cliniques à l’étranger.
Histoire de Marc l’Invincible
Le 9 Janvier 2016, à l’âge de 4 ans, Marc s’effondre dans une aire de jeux, victime d’un arrêt cardiaque. Pour sa plus grande malchance il est découvert 15 ou 20 minutes après son accident. Les parents, le personnel sur place, puis les militaires de la force sentinelle et enfin les pompiers prodiguent un massage cardiaque jusqu’ à que son cœur reparte. Admis en unité de déchocage au CHU de Grenoble puis en soin intensif , enfin en service M.P.R , il reste hospitalisé jusqu’ au mois de Mai. L’arrêt cardiaque a des conséquences terribles sur son cerveau. Sa motricité, sa concentration, sa mémoire, son élocution sont particulièrement affectés. Mais il doit aussi soigner son cœur qui menace de s’arrêter à nouveau. 5 opérations cardiaques sont nécessaires pour arriver enfin à le guérir définitivement du syndrome Wolf Parkinson White qui a provoqué l’emballement de son cœur jusqu’ à son arrêt. La dernière réalisé à Milan en 2019.
Parallèlement il doit commencer un long chemin de soins et de rééducation pour regagner tout ce qu’il est possible. Sa Maman se lance à corps perdu dans l’étude de toute les thérapies, protocoles, appareils existants à travers le monde. Ainsi Marc s’embarque au fil des années pour un petit tour du monde qui vont l’amener en Espagne, Pologne, Allemagne, Bulgarie, Israël, Russie et USA.
Les soins suivants seront prodigués ;
– Oxygénothérapie
– Cellules souches (HLM match cord blood, 2 études cliniques internationales )
– Stimulation électrique sur la langue . Translingual Neurostimulation (TLNS)
– Stimulation électrique de la moelle épinière. Non invasive electrical stimulation of the spinal cord.
– Gyrostim. Passive vestibular stimulation
– DMI. Dynamic Movement Intervention and Neurointégration
– SPML. Selective Percutaneous Myofascial Lengthening
– Tomatis
– LLLT Low Level Light Therapy or photobiomodulation
– Feldenkrais
et tout ceci en plus des soins conventionnels comme le kiné, l’ergothérapie et psychomotricité. Il ne manque pas non plus d’activités sportives avec l’escalade, le tandem, la natation et même le ski grâce au Gotoski. Il utilise aussi au quotidien la draisienne Alinker.
Aujourd’hui Marc est en classe de 6eme ULIS accompagné d’une AESH. Il est un jeune garçon qui veut être comme les autres malgré ses difficultés quotidiennes.
Sa vie est au rythme de son école et de sa rééducation mais de manière beaucoup plus légère. Sa maman reste en veille active sur toutes les nouvelles thérapies et études cliniques qui sont lancés à travers le monde. Pour aider son fils mais aussi pour les enfants de l’Association.
Si vous voulez mieux connaitre l’histoire de Marc, elle a été raconté par sa maman dans un petit livre qui relate ses combats, ses doutes, sa persévérance mais surtout témoigne de son amour inconditionnel pour son enfant. Vous pouvez vous procurer le livre numérique ou en format papier.

Comme toute organisation à but non lucratif, son démarrage et surtout son entretien coûtent de l’argent, car cela nécessite une surveillance fiscale et financière. Et nous avons besoin d’un conseil d’administration en place. Ce n’est pas très facile.
Notre association nous donne la possibilité d’organiser des collaborations officielles avec des chercheurs et des cliniques. Nous organisons des conférences en direct via Zoom auxquelles nos membres peuvent participer. . Nous ouvrons notre chaîne YouTube où vous trouverez des conférences uniques sur différentes thérapies et des vidéos de ces thérapies grâce à notre collaboration avec d’autres associations et fondations… Nous gérons des rééducations intensives et invitons des thérapeutes et médecins locaux et étrangers….
Pour le moment j’ai investi uniquement mon propre argent pour les frais juridiques, le site internet , l’organisation et rendre tout ceci fonctionnel au quotidien.
Je suis sûr que je parviendrai à la faire vivre grâce à vos cotisations et vos dons (comme le font toutes les organisations à but non lucratif) Devenir membre de l’Association ne vous coûte que : 30€/an. Cela vous donnera accès à une page Web privée avec de nombreuses ressources telles que les contacts des cliniciens, les prix, l’hébergement en hôtels et les localisations des centres de rééducation à travers le monde. Tout ce que j’ai négocié pour nos enfants.
Rassembler toutes ces connaissances et de manière pratique, organiser des conférences avec des médecins et des doctorants, négocier les prix demande beaucoup de travail et nous espérons que les personnes qui décident de devenir membres le comprendront.

Membership and Donations
As any non profits organization – it still costs money to start and mostly to maintain because it requires tax and financial oversight. And we need to have a board of people in place. It’s not super easy.
Our association gives us the possibility to arrange official collaboration with researchers and clinics. We organize live conferences via Zoom where our members can join in. .
We open our YouTube channel where you’ll find unique lectures about different therapies and videos of those therapies as we are collaborating with others associations and foundations …
We manage intensive reeducation and invite local and foreign therapists and doctors….
For the moment I invested only my own money for legal fees , website and to organize everything, make it functional day by day
I ‘m sure I will make it work thanks to your fees and donations (as all non profit organization do)
Becoming a member of the Association cost you only : 30€/ per year. It will grant you a private webpage access to many ressources such as clinician contacts, prices , hotels accommodations & locations of therapies . Everything that I have negotiated for our kids.
Putting all the knowledge together and in a convenient manner, organizing lectures with doctors and PHD/ negotiating prices is a lot of work and we hope people who decide to become members will understand this .
